Role Overview

We are looking for a Legal Manager to lead BECO’s legal function across commercial contracts, consumer protection matters, and legal metrology compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, detail-heavy agreements and has hands-on experience supporting consumer brands or logistics-driven businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts including vendor, manufacturing, logistics, distributor, and service agreements
  • Handle consumer law matters, including consumer complaints, legal notices, disputes, and representation before consumer forums
  • Ensure compliance with Legal Metrology laws, including labeling, packaging, pricing, and statutory declarations
  • Provide practical, business-aligned legal advice to cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance
  • Identify legal risks in business operations and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Manage contract lifecycle, documentation, renewals, and amendments
  • Track regulatory updates impacting consumer goods, e-commerce, and D2C operations
  • Coordinate with external counsel for litigation, disputes, and specialized legal matters

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience
  • Strong experience in consumer law, preferably within consumer brands, D2C, FMCG, retail, e-commerce, or logistics companies
  • Proven ability to handle complex, detailed, and operationally messy agreements
  • Hands-on, execution-focused, and commercially pragmatic approach

Qualifications & Requirements

  • LLB from a recognized university (mandatory)
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
