Assistant Manager / Manager - Accounts Payable

Key Responsibilities – Accounts Payable Manager

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function, including accurate processing and booking of Goods, Service, and Import invoices.
• Ensure timely GST and TDS compliance, including accurate tax accounting and adherence to statutory requirements.
• Review and monitor vendor reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely closure of outstanding balances.
• Ensure invoices, supporting documents, purchase orders, and approvals are verified before payment processing.
• Manage vendor payment schedules, outstanding payables, and ageing reports to ensure timely payments.
• Lead and guide the accounts payable team, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and adherence to defined timelines.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and other internal teams to resolve invoice and payment-related issues.
• Ensure accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and compliance with company policies.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen AP controls, and support month-end closing and audit requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• 8–12 years of experience in Accounts Payable and GST compliance, with prior team management experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST laws, TDS provisions, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
